What is Codex?
Codex is OpenAI's coding agent, available as a CLI and inside ChatGPT. It connects to external tools via the Model Context Protocol. Adding Xpoz lets Codex search 1.5B+ social posts, summarize conversations, and draft replies from inside its normal coding loop — no separate API integrations to maintain.
Install
Run this once to register Xpoz with Codex. Replace YOUR_XPOZ_API_TOKEN with your token from the Xpoz dashboard. You can also `export XPOZ_API_KEY=...` first and then run the `codex mcp add` command on its own line.

Codex does not list xpoz as an available MCP server
Run `codex mcp list` to confirm xpoz is registered. If it is not, re-run the `codex mcp add` command above and make sure your Codex CLI version supports MCP (`codex --version`). Restart Codex if the tool list does not refresh.
401 Unauthorized from mcp.xpoz.ai
Your XPOZ_API_KEY is missing, expired, or revoked. Generate a fresh token at https://www.xpoz.ai/get-token, export it in your shell (`export XPOZ_API_KEY=...`), and re-run the `codex mcp add` command.
Rate-limit errors on heavy sweeps
